Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) teaches positions, transitions, sweeps, escapes, throws, takedowns and submissions. Our curriculum focuses on Sport Jiu-Jitsu but also covers self-defense concepts.
Our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu programs are coached by BJJ Black Belts Ryan Roach, Luke Schroeder, Ben Schroeder, Mike Jacobs, & Grant Nidey. They are the only BJJ Black Belts in the Hamilton, Ohio area.
Legacy Academy is an affiliate of Focused Fight Team and Professor Jeff Robison. Jeff Robison is an IBJJF certified Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt under John Will and David Meyer.
Modern Olympic Judo is a distillation of its predecessor Japanese Jiu-Jitsu. Its technical focus has emphasized throws and takedowns over control and submissions due to the competitive and sporting rules implemented throughout its history.
Come learn the Olympic sport of Judo from Ohio’s premier judo school. Legacy Martial Arts Academy and all of our instructors are certified by USA Judo.
No-Gi Submission Grappling
No-Gi Submission Grappling combines elements from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Folkstyle Wrestling, Freestyle Wrestling, Greco-Roman Wrestling, Sambo, and many other grappling arts. Submission Wrestling is sometimes referred to as: Submission Grappling, Sport Grappling or No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu. The grappling aspect of what you see in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is learned in No-Gi Submission Grappling and can be applied to everyday Self-Defense situations.
